Trouble with connecting your bike?

Bluetooth being difficult? Let's sort it, most riders fix this themselves in under a minute.

Let us help you connecting you bike again.

Your Raleigh ONE and your phone are meant to talk to each other. When they go quiet, it's almost always one of a few usual suspects, and none of them mean your bike is broken. Run through the steps below before reaching out to us, they solve it in almost every case.

  1. Someone else is already connected

Your bike only has eyes for one phone at a time. If you see the message “[insert exact in-app text]” while trying to connect, it means the bike is already connected to another device.

If a dealer or store connected to it to test it before you picked it up, and forgot to disconnect, your bike still thinks it's talking to them. Same story if a friend, partner, or your own second phone connected to it at some point and never properly let go.

Fix it:

  • On the other phone (or ask the dealer to do it): open the Raleigh app, log in, scroll down, and delete the bike.
  • Once it's let go on that end, your bike is free to meet someone new. Try connecting again.

Bought the bike recently and never touched a second phone yourself? It's worth asking your dealer whether they connected during handover and forgot to disconnect. It happens more than you'd think.

If your dealer isn't the one who connected, the fastest fix is to drop by any store, they can see exactly what's connected and clear it on the spot. If that's not an option, send us a message with your bike's TCU number and frame number and we'll look into it.

  1. Your phonecan'tfind the bike at all

Bluetooth is a little shy. Just like it sometimes won't connect to your car, a speaker, or other devices, it can be the same story with your bike. A few quick checks usually clear this up:

  • Get close. Stand right next to the bike, with nothing bulky between you and the frame, and give it about 10 seconds.
  • Check the bike is actually on. No power, no Bluetooth signal.
  • Check the battery. A bike running low on charge may not have enough juice to broadcast. Give it a quick top-up.
  • Restart the app. Fully close it, reopen it, try again.
  • Forget and re-add the device. In your phone's Bluetooth settings, remove “Raleigh …” from the list of known devices. Turn Bluetooth off and on again close to the bike, then open the app and try to connect. You should see a pop-up to reconnect as if it were new.
  1. Still nothing?

Make sure your app is running the latest version. Our most recent update includes a set of Bluetooth refinements built specifically to fix the connection hiccups above. Most riders who update find the problem simply disappears.

If you've been through all of the above and your bike still won't show up, the best next step is to swing by a store. They can see the bike and your phone side by side and sort it on the spot, which is faster than troubleshooting it with us remotely. If a store visit isn't possible, our support team is happy to help from here.
